Q: Will my SEIDIO case still work with the VITREO™?
A: The VITREO™ for the iPad 2/3 is compatible with the SEIDIO ACTIVE®
and EXPERT™ cases. However, we cannot guarantee that it will be compatible with
another manufacturer’s cases.
Q: How does the VITREO™ stay
on the device?
A: The VITREO™ stays on the device using a silicon adhesive. Removal of
the VITREO™ will not leave any residue on the device’s screen.
Q: Can you remove and reapply the VITREO™?
A: While we do not
suggest the removal of the VITREO™, the adhesive does
allow you to remove the VITREO™ and reapply it to your device. We
suggest only reinstalling if misaligned, as bending may cause the VITREO™ to break or dust may stick to the adhesive. Using excessive force
when installing or removing the VITREO™ may damage the product. There
is also a chance that you could damage the adhesive with items used to pry off
the VITREO™ during removal. We suggest that you use the included pick if it
is necessary to remove the VITREO™.
Q: What is the best method to apply the VITREO™ to the device?
A:
(1) Align your VITREO™ on the iPad
screen so you have an idea of what the alignment looks like before actually
installing it.
(2) Remove any previous screen protectors on the iPad and
clean your iPad screen with the provided alcohol wipe and microfiber cloth.
Make sure there is no lint or dust on the screen (tip: use scotch tape).
(3) Peel off the back protector film on your VITREO™.
(4) Align the VITREO™ on your iPad screen and
once aligned, gently apply pressure to the center of the VITREO™ to
activate the adhesive spreading. If big bubbles form while adhesive is still
spreading, carefully lift the VITREO™ again to remove the bubbles.
(5) If there are bubbles after the spreading has stopped,
use the plastic pick to push out the bubbles. Small bubbles should disappear
within a few days.
Q: What does “shatterproof” mean?
A: If something was
to damage the VITREO™, it will hold the broken pieces together instead
of falling apart into sharp shards of individual pieces. (The glass operates
similar to the windshield on cars that also holds its form when broken.) This
provides a safer and more protective shield for your device’s screen.
Q: Does the VITREO™ come with
a different warranty?
A: The VITREO™ comes with the standard Seidio one (1) year
manufacturer’s warranty that covers any manufacturing defects, but does not
cover normal wear and tear of the product.
Q: How do I remove my VITREO™ if it gets damaged?
A: Removal of the VITREO™ after it has been damaged will be
similar to removal of an undamaged VITREO™, but the resistance of the
adhesive will not be same across the entire VITREO™. While it is
designed to keep its form when damaged, you should be careful when handling a
damaged VITREO™ as it is real glass and there is the possibility that
tiny pieces could potentially break off. We suggest wearing gloves to protect
your hands while attempting to remove the damaged VITREO™. You can use
the plastic pick provided to help facilitate the removal.
Q: Do I have to use the home button stickers?
A: Even though the VITREO™ is thin for a glass shield, it is still thicker
than a traditional PET screen protector. The home button is still accessible,
but home button stickers have been provided to make access to your home button
easier.
Q: How much impact can the VITREO™ take?
A: The VITREO™ can withstand the impact of a 90 gram steel ball dropped from a height of 25cm.
